Your Path to a Professional CTA Career

1. Trading Strategy Review and Recommendations
Open and fund your futures trading account, with the account size determined by your trading strategy and at our low commission rate. During the initial trading period (up to three months), we will review your trading activity for the purpose of providing structured feedback along with practical recommendations to help you refine and strengthen your trading strategy.
2. Strategy Refinement and CTA Program DevelopmentWork with an experienced futures specialist to refine your trading strategy and develop a professional CTA program. We help you build a managed futures program that aligns with industry best practices and resonates with investors.  ‍3. Licensing Exam Preparation and RegistrationGet the guidance and resources you need to pass the Series 3 exam and complete your registration. We provide personalized study support and guide you through each step, from preparation to achieving your CTA credentials.

Launching Your CTA Business Once you're licensed, we assist with establishing reliable regulatory compliance support, along with the organizational structure, operational setup, and other foundational elements needed for a successful CTA business launch.‍5. Why Become a CTA
Becominga licensed CTA provides the legal ability to offer trading services to U.S. investors, manage their funds, and earn professional fees. This status builds trust, enhances credibility with global investors, and opens the door to a scalable, independent long-term trading career.
Program Cost
There are no participation fees. Participants open and trade their own accounts at ECG Futures’ standard low-cost commission rate. Any third-party services selected by participants are paid directly to the respective providers.
Participation Requirements
Participants should have a defined trading strategy with a clear understanding of trade entry and exit rules. A funded futures trading account with ECG Futures is required, with the account size determined by the trading strategy. International traders with proficiency in English are welcome.
Individualized Approach
All our services, including consultations and recommendations by experienced futures specialists, are individualized to each participant’s trading experience and unique circumstances, offered continuously until the defined objectives are met.
Ongoing Partnership
The program is not limited by a set timeframe; it is structured to establish a lasting partnership with ECG Futures, providing ongoing support to each participant in building a successful CTA business.
Timeline to Becoming a CTA
While our services are continuous, the timeline depends on each participant’s trading strategy readiness and the time they need to build a managed futures program and prepare for the licensing exam. Most participants can obtain a CTA license within 6 to 12 months on average.
